Private Investigator Bursary

National bursary competition for academic year 2014/2015 and 2015/2016. Each scholarship will provide £1,000 to assist one student undertaking a full-time course (BTEC Level 3 and above).

The award will be made to the individual student for one year only.

What is This Scholarship?

We have a huge interest in the education of the next generation of private detectives and investigators and as we have a commitment to helping others we are offering one student a monetary award to assist with their education.

Am I Eligible?

To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants are required to be studying for a BTEC Level 3 or above
  • Applicants are required to have firmly accepted their offer of a full-time place
  • Applicants must be registered with the university by the 31st October 2014 for the bursary 2014/2015 and 31st October 2015 for the bursary 2015-2016.

A panel made up of private detectives and investigators will meet in early November to consider who the scholarship will be awarded to.

Criminology, Forensic Science, Criminology and Police Science, Forensic Crime Scene, Digital, E-Crime, Cyber Crime, Forensic Investigation, Forensic Analysis, Crime and Investigative Studies, Criminology and Sociology, Law, Psychology and Criminology, Policing, Law and Investigation.

Applicants that meet this criterion are invited to submit a 200 word statement titled "How The Private Investigator Scholarship Will Help Me" via the below form.

    A 29 acres park commonly known as The Quarry is located in Shrewsbury. There are a host of activities that are carried out in the park throughout the year which include Shrewsbury Regatta, Dragon Boat Racing, The Carnival among many others. A colourful formal floral masterpiece called The Dingle is placed right at the centre of the park. And it was designed by Percy Thrower, a well-known gardener. He's been a superintendent at the park for 28 years.

    Shropshire's Regimental Museum Trust uniforms, weapons, medals as well as other 18thcentury artefacts' at the Shrewsbury Castle. The beautiful landscapes are great for photo-shoots and civil ceremonies are very common in the castle. The castle remains open almost throughout the year. There is a schedule for exact dates in the website. The entry charges are reasonable with free entry for members of the regiments. Parking is available and the bus station is 10 minutes away.

Millions of years' worth of history can be found in the museum such as Roman Tombstones and headstones among others. It has set itself as the ideal family museum with activities suitable for kids available throughout the week such as Mini-Mammoths, Trail of Maximo Mouse among others.
